Their slogan is “The other way to Search.” Our first clue of innovation at Snap is the ‘find as you type’ search suggestion tool that lets you see some popular search terms and keywords. After you submit your search, you are taken to the results in a two-pane layout. To the left, a list of sites matching your search term, and to the right an image of the site that you select in the left pane.
When you click on the site image it takes you to the actual site but stays within this pane or you can have it open a new window. The search engine is fromf Idealab, the company that launched Overture (aquired by Yahoo) and Picasa (aquired by Google). Snap is located in Pasedena, California and is led by Bill Gross, the founder of Idealab. Overall, this site is highly recommended and is instrumental in search engines to a new level.
