Joe’s Goals

by DJ Neawedde | 23rd July 2006

We all know that goal setting is important to succeed and thats why Ian Smith, a 24-year-old Montana native who works as a senior Web developer at WorldClass Strategy in Seattle created Joe’s Goals. “I built Joe’s Goals to make it stupidly simple to create, track, and share your personal goals. It is a productivity application that is actually easy enough to use. Joe’s Goals lets users input individual goals, such as exercising, bringing a lunch to work or practicing music. They can use the Web site to track their progress. Just 32 days after Smith posted Joe’s Goals on the Web, 4,000 people have signed up for the free service. As for the nam Joe’s Goals, Smith says, “I had a demo version and I needed a title,” he said. “It’s for the average Joe to keep track of things. I never came up with a better name so I decided to stick with it.”

[…] Creating goals is definitely the one thing that helps me stay focused and on track. With out goals set and written out, I would probably lose my mind, it’s just one thing I have to do to get to the level of success I wish to achieve. You may have other things you personally have to do to keep your mind focused and not get derailed. If a goal is longterm, I usually set milestones so I can sort of gauge how far i am along the journey to realizing my goal. Breaking larger goals down like that is something that just came to me a few months ago and if you are having truoble staying on track to your goals I think this will help tremendously, along with hard work and effort of course. As for keeping track of goals, there is an interesting website that I talked aboiut earlier this week over at my other blog, Ministry Of Tech, it’s called Joe’s Goals. It’s a neat little site that is simple and easy to use that let’s you keep track your goals. Check it out, let me know what you think! Motivation succeed Technology […]
