wifi penThe new WiFi Pen by Informatica lets you detect if you are in a wireless hot spot. There is a button on the barrel that you push and green, yellow or red LEDs indicate the areas WiFi signal strength. This is handy do you don’t go through the trouble of setting up base (laptop, etc.) only to find that the signal strength where you set up at is horrible or no signal at all. The pen is $18.95 and is available for a limited time according to their site.

This product, the ‘wifi pen’ is no longer available from Informatica, it was a one time only promotion and is no longer being sold.
