Just try and remember, if you can, what you were doing around this time. This clip, courtesy of CBC, is a report from 1993 about the Internet and what it is. It’s interesting to watch this realizing what we know now and how far we have come in developing this massive global network.

As one of the guys who connected with a 9600 baud modem at this time, this video means more than something to laugh it. It’s a slice of what life was back then, and how very much has changed.
It brings back so many memories!!! I never would have imagined watching this video.. over a broadband connection back then.
The modem tone still brings a chill to my spine.. of excitement, anticipation. That is the ONLY thing I miss about modems though
Thank you so much for posting this, it really has brought tears to my eyes from the memories.
