he Western Digital My Book Premium 500GB Hard Drive uses dual interface — for high-speed performance, FireWire 400 is the interface of choice. For convenience and compatibility among multiple computers, USB 2.0 is the way to go. The drive also has an interesting feature to check the current storage capacity - the little blue circle changes depending on how much space is left.

This hard drive also uses Google search software to search and manage files. They also have four other capacities available, 160, 250, 320 and 400GB. It is available for $330 at Western Digital, and the My Book Essential Edition 500GB is on sale for $200 at BestBuy, till Sept. 3.
