Yahoo! announced today the acquisition of online video editing service Jumpcut. This was a great decision on Yahoo’s part as they are lagging behind MySpace Video, this aquisition will give them a chance to offer more to their video site users.
Based in San Francisco, Jumpcut was launched only six months ago. Jumput lets users edit and remix videos already online or edit their own video with its web based interface. The terms of the deal are not being disclosed. Sony recently bought Grouper, also a video sharing site.
