‘Luxury MVNO’ Voce cuts prices in half

by DJ Neawedde | 3rd October 2006

Luxury MVNO VoceThe new MVNO(?), Voce, operates on Cingular’s network and is where you are not a ‘customer,’ but a ‘client.’ For some history, back in November of 2005, PhoneScoop reported that “For a $1500 sign up fee and $500 per month, Voce will offer their subscribers unlimited voice and data, personalized live service, and new, exclusive handsets every 4 months.”

Available in LA right now, and launching in NY and SF before years end, Voce has chopped it prices, now a one time fee of $500 + $200 a month. Voce’s Senior VP, Roy Kosuge, says that “the MVNO had done studies which gave them ‘great results’ on how much people were willing to pay, but the real world reflected a different story”

With the new prices, Voce ‘clients’ get unlimited domestic calling, text messaging, and a phone (Voce offers three Razrs and a Nokia 8801). Users also have access to a 24/7 service center, a free annual phone upgrade and replacements, access to a concierge service, and travel assistance. Other perks include luggage delivery access to a private jet club and the option to have a Voce rep come to clients homes or offices to show them how to use the phone or to troubleshoot.
