Toshiba breaks LG Philips LCD record

Toshiba slimmest TFT-LCD

Just weeks ago, LG Philips developed and unveiled the slimmest LCD ever at 1.3 mm thin, well not anymore. Toshiba has just unveiled their 0.99mm mobile TFT-LCD prototype at CEATEC 2006 in Japan.

Toshiba is planning to launch products with this LCD technology next April. A member of LG Philips LCD public relations staff said that there isn’t any further development plan now. Continue for more images.
