Now that many companies like GM are installing solar roofing, it’s time to bring the earth friendly resource to home. And that’s why Home Depot and BP Solar are partnering on a solar installation service for home owners called “BP Solar Home Solutions.”
There are 3 major steps for the service. The first is a free home consultation see figure which solution is best for you - a small (1-4kw), medium (5-7kw), or large (8-10kw) installation. The cost ranged from Around $4,000 for the small system to about $50,000 for the largest system. Your electricity usage, location, and possible savings are determining factors in the process as well. The second step of the service is the actual installation. After installation, there is a post inspection of our system.
It seems the State of California is also ready to bring solar power mainstream. California has passed a new state law that will provide $3.2 billion in funding to build a million solar roofs over the next ten years. Via
