Cheoptics360: 3D holographic display, but not really.

Cheoptics360 3D Holographic Display

We’ve seen some pretty cool new technology in the realm of display technology, such as the M2 Heliodisplay Mid-Air Projector. However, the M2 doesn’t project in 3D as does the Cheoptics360 (above, video below). Developed by a Danish engineers from viZoo and Romboll, it’s basically a four-sided transparent pyramid. The Cheoptics360 can display computer and film content when used indoors or outdoors and scales from 1.5-meters to 30-meters.

Although this is pretty neat, it’s not a true 3D display, as SCI FI Tech states, “in the video it looks to me like the video is really 2D and is just viewable from any angle. That’s not quite 3D, where you would see the back of the object if you walked behind it.”
