Sirius video service in cars by late-2007

Sirius VideoSirius CEO, Mel Karmazin, just told Reuters that Sirius video will be available in late-2007 in 2008 model vehicles.

“We have three content deals that are very close to being finalized. I don’t know if they will be done by CES, but that is what we are shooting for,” Karmazin said. “We will have video in the rear seat of the car up and running.”

The video service, which has been delayed since early 2004, will be geared towards children in the car. Additional fees will be charged, but no word on how much exactly. Sirius hopes to have a demo of this service at CES.
