Cisco CEO John ChambersBusinesses will soon see user generated content as an unavoidable part of everyday business, according to Cisco CEO John Chambers. He’s right, user generated content is the future, and it’s already everywhere we look, as businesses are looking for better ways to use technology for connecting with their customers.

As Chambers told delegates at ITU Telecom World in Hong Kong today: “We will change business models on this. In the future it will be about producing it yourself” as enterprises start to adopt technologies such as collaboration tools.

“We haven’t seen anything yet.” By 2015, Chambers says that 15 exabytes a month will be transfered across data lines worldwide. Just to give you an idea, 15 exabytes is equal to 16,106,127,360 gigabytes, wow.
