In the latest preview of Leopard OS X 10.5, iChat had a new option available in the preferences - Answering. A feature that apparently lets you record video away messages for all to see, and lets the caller leave you a message.

Mac Rumors says, the “ability to record video-clips has previously been suggested as a tie in to the iPhone to provide a ‘call ahead’ feature.”
