Samsung finger-touch concept phone

Finger touch phone

Designed by Sunman Kwon, this is The Finger Touch concept phone, and as you can see it has a Samsung logo on it.  A very unique concept of all the phone concepts i’ve seen.

The keypad is projected from the round part of the actual device onto your hand, while your fingers act as the keypad. Sort of like the Bluetooth virtual laser keyboard, only on your hand.

Brilliant idea, if it works. I reckon they should get testing this as soon as possible. If they manage to patent it then I’m sure they’d lead the ‘wearable phones’ market :)

      I’d buy it!

I actually used the alpha of this device. It worked great until one night when I was jerking off and accidentally called Greenland.

I want someone to make an entire computer like this, with a projected keyboard and screen. I think that a phone like this would be the first step.

Well, basically this is nothing new. Check this http://marisil.com/ web site. These guys have also a paten on their invention and they are having some cool videos. They also seem to work on some open source project to allow implementation for various hardwares. Augmented Reality here we come. And if Sunman Kwon would have bother to check it, he would have found that there is quite much literature on the scholar.google.com about this interaction and quite much research.
