I just came across this site, it’s a global ’shutdown of the computer’ day initiative. It’s coming up on March 27, 2007 - just go to the Shutdown Day site and put your name and e-mail, and join the tally of ‘I can’ and ‘I can’t’ shutdown my computer for 24 hours. I threw down an ‘I can’ just to see if I actually can, but I make no guarantees.
