Yahoo Selling Search Results?

Accoriding to a thread in SEO Forum and a post at SEO-Scoop, Yahoo is has been including pay-per click ads in it ’s organic search listings. According to SEO Refugee, “the ads are indistinguishable from regular listings leading some to question whether Yahoo! is selling rankings in their search engine result pages (SERPs) as well.”

Some evidence:

  • The title on Yahoo! differs from the actual title of the page linked to. (For example click first result)
  • Yahoo! offers no cached page for the questionable links.

So is Yahoo undermining the beauty of organic search results?
