I’m just wondering if there will be a big community out there to help aid in customizing the phones with little apps and tweaks so we can have the phone us Linux folk would like. Also will these be able to sync to Linux computers or windows? Or both?. Either way these phones look real nice though.

Nikishka - How hard is it to spell “they’re”? I really fail to see why people leave rash and biased comments in a style barely suitable for Myspace.
I like Neo and Motorola, the others aren’t really what comes to mind when I think of form and functionality for a phone/PDA.

I agree with Nikishka,
It says top five Linux phones…More like only 5 Linux phones.
Most of the Windows based phones/PPC Phones look way cooler and have more features.

[…] OpenMoko’s Linux-based smartphone, the Neo1973, is almost ready for deployment. Around 1,00 devlopment kits will be available to phone developer/hackers on July 9. While it’s known as the first open source mobile device, it’s certainly not the only Linux-based phone available now. The mass-market version unlocked Neo 1973 (GTA02) will be sold to the masses at $450 for the Neo Base and $600 for Neo Advanced in October. And it will have the following new hardware goodies: 802.11 b/g WiFi, Samsung 2442, SoCSMedia 3362 Graphics Accelerator, 2 3D Accelerometers, and 256MB Flash.
