AlarME Watch Helps Hearing Impaired

by DJ Neawedde | 8th March 2007

Nikita Golovlevhas has designed the AlarME personal alarm watch to help the hearing impaired in emergencies. MedGadget says the device would “detect fire alarms and alert the wearer via vibrations to exit the building.” And maybe even “help guide the disoriented wearer out of the building.”

This could really work, maybe with RFID tags on fire alarms or integrated into the system that way. The device is still in the early development phase and no final date of availability has been announced.
