Hitachi touts world’s fastest laptop hard drive

Hitachi has just announced the world’s highest-capacity, highest-performing notebook hard drive. The new Travelstar 7K200 is double the capacity and is 18-33% faster in application performance as compared to the other 2.5-inch 7200 and 5400-rpm drive currently available. The 7K200 is 200 GB, 7200 RPM and comes with optional hard-drive level ‘Bulk Data Encryption’ technology. It is now available on all Dell XPS notebooks and Alienware notebooks.
