UK Testing Unmanned Police “Spy Drone”

by DJ Neawedde | 21st May 2007

Police in the UK are testing out a new “spy drone” meant to help reduce anti-social behavior and disorder. They took a drastic step like this back in September when they hooked up loudspeakers to street cameras. The trial runs start in June and will go on for about 3 months. According to BBC, the drones “are flown by remote control or using pre-programmed GPS navigation systems, are silent and can be fitted with night-vision cameras.” How do you think the people of the UK will respond to this?
