Intel Unveils ‘Metro’ Prototype , World’s Thinnest Laptop
The ‘Metro notebook is the latest innovation from Intel, and at less than 0.7 inches thick — it is the world’s thinnest laptop. It weighs in at 2.25 pounds also making it one of the lightest in portable computing. Other features include always-on Internet connectivity via various wireless technologies. Intel also wants to load this up with new embedded chips to let users access cellular, Wi-Fi, or WiMax wireless broadband networks giving you “always-on wireless connectivity.” BusinessWeek
