Nokia Phones To Get Lightning Detection?

by DJ Neawedde | 24th May 2007

The patent application says the phone would use existing FM and GSM tuners to detect abnormal waves from nearby lightning strikes. Apparently, this would let the user know how close the strikes are to the phone’s location, and whether they are in danger.
