If you work in IT, sometimes it can feel like you’re chained to your desk. One guy found an interesting way to spend more time out of the office, taking a job as the trained geek on an expedition up Mount Everest.
We were tasked with an enormous challenge - to produce constantly refreshed content for a vast multi-media web portal, and to do this while climbing the world’s highest mountain. I would join up with an elite crew of climbers, cameramen and production personnel and we would attempt to climb the worlds highest peak, film it and bring it to the world live on the web.
The fact that this guy was able to process and upload photos and videos, from the side of Mount Everest, really shows how far mobile computing has come. What a great job to have. :: UEverest.com
