CPU Cooled with Liquid Nitrogen; 5 GHz Overclock

by DJ Neawedde | 12th June 2007

If you’ve never seen a liquid nitrogen cooled CPU in action, here’s what it looks like. At Computex,  Universal ABIT  Co. demonstrated this liquid nitrogen cooled Core 2 Extreme X6800 (2.93 GHz) mounted on their AB9 QuadGT motherboard. They overclocked it to 5 GHz, showing it doing some continuous Pi calculations without any problems.
