Epson and Philips unveil new mini projector

by DJ Neawedde | 13th June 2007

Mini projectors are definitely the future of mobile devices, no argument there. This one is from the Fraunhofer Institute, another from Texas Instruments, and the famous Microvision PicoP. And now Epson and Philips are making their smart move into this ’soon-to-be-trend’ of mobile device manufacturers.

The 0.47-inch 3LCD panel is will project an 800 x 600 pixel image with the help of Philips’ 1.7 x 2.5-inch Ujoy lamp and 2.8 x 1.4 x 1-inch driver. Apparently this is available immediately for any OEMs. Press Release [Epson.jp] via DigiTimes
