Here’s the new Slim G4 800 DPI mouse with a touch-sensitive scroll wheel. The best part is that it slides neatly away into your favorite PCMCIA slot. Or if your slot is occupied, stick the G4 in it’s pouch. The mouse easily folds into a usable position, and right back to flat again. Priced at â‚©46,500 ($50 USD).

This mouse is coated with a Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) and Silver (Ag) nano-particle compound - you know, to keep the germs away like all the other anti-germ gadgets.
Apparently, the fingerprint scanner eliminates a need for password lists. The security features include File/Folder encryption, website auto/secure login, and drive encryption for enhanced data security. Nice. Get it in February for $80.

Genious has unveiled the new Genius Navigator 380, a 1200 dpi optical mouse/ VOIP / IM phone. We’ve seen a few cool VoIP mice in recent months, from the likes of Sony and Sysgration.
“While being used as a mouse, the closed clamshell handset can still ring or its LED will blink when someone is trying to reach you. It supports up to six instant messengers simultaneously in one window.”

The Sigma SGM2, one of the more interesting looking mice, can switch between a resolution of 400 or 800dpi and connects via USB. It can be used conveniently as presentation device, locking between your index finger and allowing you to control the roller with your thumb, it also has a scroll wheel and a double click key which is activated by the index finger.
The mouse is compatible with Windows XP only, boo. The SGM2 measures 58×84×64mm and weighs just 97 grams. It will be available this December in Japan for 3,480 Yen ($30 USD).

Yes, another Skype “mouse phone” after the Sony VN-CX1 Skype Mouse Phone we reviewed in June. The Sysgration ASG-142 is well designed, compact and features a 1.3 inch LCD display with support for back light that will show you the names of the persons on your Skype list and their status. You can use and type the phone numbers as well and use it as a Skype out. It uses an optical sensor and it connects via USB. Via The Inquirer.

This is the latest of mice to come aboard the “anti-bacterial bandwagon” this year. As we first saw the Elecom M-ABUR and then the Evergreen Pen Mouse, both of which have anti-bacterial surfaces.

The IOGEAR Germ Free Laser Mouse is coated with a Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) and Silver (Ag) nano-particle compound (they claim it neutralizes 99% of all bacteria and viruses on the mouse surface). The coating uses two mechanisms to deactivate enzymes and proteins to prevent a wide spectrum of bacteria, virus, fungi, and algae from surviving on the surface of the mouse. The mouse also uses “VCSEL” or Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser as the light source, providing 30x more tracking power than mice using an optical sensor. It’s wireless capability permits a wireless operating range of 6 feet.
We love the disclaimer on the IOGEAR site, letting us know that “This device cannot be used as antibiotic or anti-viral medication” and “Do not ingest the surface material of the device under any circumstances.” Also, “This device does not eliminate the entire universe of bacteria or viruses.”
